EXHIBITION CALLOUT: WHERE I BELONG
Q Gallery invites artists to take part in our final exhibition of the year.
‘Where I Belong’ explores the many ways we find connection, comfort, and identity, through people, places, objects, or moments that embody the feeling of belonging. Show us who you really are and what or where makes you feel you belong.
This exhibition is on view Friday 5 to Monday 22 December and will showcase smaller, affordable works in the lead-up to Christmas. It is an opportunity for collectors and art lovers to purchase meaningful gifts while supporting local artists.

All mediums welcome.
All artwork must be for sale.
There will be a $500 People’s Choice Award.
There is no cost to apply. For selected artists there will be a $50 fee per artwork.

Rosalie Rose - Snakes & Flowers
10th-23rd October - Snakes and Flowers is a textile exhibition honouring cloth and slow-stitch: simplicity and patience – both of which rebel against the use of unsustainable fibres and the fast pace at which our society appears to function. Some pieces are embellished with shells and botanically dyed fabrics. Harnessing natures offerings furthers the exhibitions endeavor to reunite the viewer with their relationship to earth. Through the conjuring of something ancient, Snakes and Flowers offers a collection of simple yet intricate pieces that intend to call in feelings of both reverence and delight.
Rosalie Rose is a textile artist currently living in Canberra, creating on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land.

Studio CPC - Who am I?

Artists of Studio CPC work collaboratively with volunteer models who create their own costumes. Studio images are combined with both real and created environments to produce imaginative portraits.
Studio CPC is part of Canberra Photo Connect, an orgnaisation that welcomes photograohy and those interested in photography and other visual arts. Supporting members wherever they on their artistic journey is their mission.

TWO BIRDS, ONE STONE
Mark Schaller and Charmaine Pwerle
7 – 13 November
Opening night Friday 7 November 6 to 8pm
Mark Schaller b.1962 in West Germany is a Melbourne based artist who was also a founding member of the renowned Roar Studios in the early 1980s. His practice evokes Expressionism and Primitivism with bold shape, line, colour and composition.
Charmaine Pwerle b.1975 is a Utopia artist who often depicts ceremonial practices, such as Awelye body painting and sacred rites surrounding childbirth. She is a proud Alyawarre and Anmatyerre person for whom creativity runs in the family; her Grandmother is artist Minnie Pwerle and Mother, Barbara Weir.
